What we cannot fix roadside
Sidewall damage, punctures near the shoulder, run-flat tires, and rims bent by a pothole or curb are not safe to plug. In those cases we tow you to a shop rather than send you down Highway 4 on a repair that will not hold. If your spare is missing or flat, call us anyway; we carry a compressor and can often get the original tire holding air long enough to reach a shop.
What to have ready when you call
- Where you are. Highway 4 has long stretches with no cell signal, so if you can move to a pullout with reception, do that first and stay well off the road.
- Whether you have a spare and where it is (under the vehicle, in the trunk, on the tailgate).
- Whether you have a locking wheel nut key.
- Vehicle type and, for trailers, the axle and tire size if you know it.

Peninsula Road, the Wild Pacific Trail lots, marina parking and the road out to the junction. Gravel and shell at trailheads is our most common puncture call.
Tofino
Pacific Rim Highway, Cox Bay, Chesterman and the campground and resort access roads. We change tires in soft-sand lots that a shop truck will not enter.

Flat Tire Repair FAQs
Can you fix a flat tire on the side of the road?
Yes, for simple tread punctures we plug the tire on the spot. For sidewall damage or bent rims we tow you to a tire shop instead, because a plug there is not safe.
What if I have no spare tire?
Call us anyway. We carry a compressor and plug kit and can often get you rolling to a shop. If not, we tow you to the nearest open tire shop.
Do you change tires on RVs and trailers?
Yes, on light and medium trailers and most RVs. Give us the vehicle and tire details when you call so we bring the right jack and tools.
There is no cell signal on Highway 4. What should I do?
Move to the nearest pullout with reception if the tire can take it, stay out of the travel lane, and call from there. Passing drivers will often relay a call for you at the next signal point.
How fast can you get to a flat tire on Highway 4?
We dispatch immediately and give you an ETA when you call. Highway 4 response depends on where you are between Port Alberni and the coast, and on road conditions.
Do you sell tires?
